Culture Change Nurse Coordinator Certification Program CCNC-C - 24 contact hours

The Culture Change Nursing Coordinator is an “inhouse culture change resource” who bridges knowledge into practice and helps the interdisciplinary team members understand and implement culture change principles and practices. Using the Culture Change Nurse Coordinator Manual and companion study guide, the nurse can learn about the principles and practices of culture change. Topics include:

  • The nursing home culture
  • Resident centered and directed care
  • A holistic approach
  • Relationships
  • High quality care
  • Home-like environment
  • Direct line worker empowerment
  • Implementing culture change

Requirements: To obtain the certification and 24 contact hours, nurses must:

  • Read the entire Culture Change Nurse Coordinator Manual. The Study Guide will direct your reading and study.
  • Complete the Artifacts of Culture Change tool. This tool will enable you to assess the stage of culture change for your nursing home.
  • Develop an implementation plan that is unique to your nursing home.
  • Pass the examination with a score of at least 80%

 

24 contact hours - Certification and Contact hours fee* AALTCN Members pay $125 and Non-members pay $175.

*Certification and Contact Hours Fee does not need to be paid until you are ready to complete program and obtain certification. Certification is valid for a 3 year period, after which recertification can be achieved by either submitting proof of 20 contact hours of continuing education or retaking the Certification Examination.
